WASHINGTON — Police have arrested a man they say followed a woman into a store in Northwest, D.C. and touched her inappropriately.
On Wednesday, April 24, at 1 p.m., officers were approached by a woman who said a man brushed up against her at the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and L Street, Northwest. He apologized, so she said she thought it was accidental.
As she walked into a store on Connecticut Avenue , across from the Farragut North Metro Station, she claims the man followed her inside. He then touched her again without her consent and she realized it was intentional. When she yelled at him to stop, the man ran away.
Two days later, on Friday, May 3, police identified and located the man accused of touching the woman inappropriately. Bryan Sommers, 53, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor sexual abuse.
