WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A woman is dead and a man is facing charges after police say a domestic dispute turned in to a shooting in Woodbridge Wednesday night.
According to the Prince William County Police Department, officers were called to the 13500 block of Delaney Road shortly before 9 p.m. after a family member reported hearing gunshots while leaving the home.
Upon arrival, officers found 20-year-old Anthony White Jr. trying to leave. He was detained without incident.
Once inside the home, officers found a 20-year-old woman who had been shot. She was taken to an area hospital where she later died.
Investigators say White and the woman were arguing when the fight turned physical. White is accused of grabbing a gun and shooting the woman during the fight.
White has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and domestic assault and battery. He is currently being held without bond.
