FAIRFAX, Va. — A Fairfax man will serve seven years in prison for downloading millions of images and videos of child exploitation, including sexual abuse material (CSAM).
According to court documents, James Andrew Whitney, 62, concealed his identity for at least 15 years to seek out and download explicit files of children under the age of 12 engaged in sexual acts. Whitney would take the explicit files and photoshop himself into the photos and narrate sexual encounters between himself and the little girl. This behavior dates back to as early as April 2010.
During the investigation, officials discovered more than five terabytes of CSAM on Whitney’s electronics.
On September 11, 2023, he pleaded guilty to charges that he possessed and received CSAM and that he received obscene visual representations of the sexual abuse of children.
