HYATTSVILLE, Md. — Police are still searching for two people who tried to rob an armored truck in Hyattsville Tuesday morning. Police say the driver fired his weapon at the suspects, who left the scene.
Officers were called to the area of 5500 Baltimore Avenue, not far from Busboys and Poets, just before 11 a.m. for a reported robbery. Police said two armed people tried to rob an armored truck in the area. The truck's driver fired his weapons at the suspects. It's not clear if the driver hit either suspect, according to police.
The driver was not hurt, and the suspects did not get away with any cash or valuables. Police said the pair left the scene in a minivan, but did not provide a description of the people involved.
