BRYANS ROAD, Md. — A student at a high school in Charles County is facing charges after being accused of slashing tires and then bringing a weapon to school Thursday morning.
Officers with the Charles County Sheriff's Office responded to Arbor Lane, off of Marshall Hall Road, in Bryans Road at 6:40 a.m. after a report of vandalism. At the home, they learned that someone had slashed the tires of a vehicle as well as threw eggs on the house and car.
Through an investigation, officers learned that the person of interest was a student at Henry E. Lackey High School. The school resource officer and school administrators were informed and located the student.
The sheriff's office said a knife was found in their backpack.
The sheriff's office say the student was charged on a juvenile offense report with destruction of property and possession of a deadly weapon on school property.
