2 hurt in Montgomery County shooting

Detectives are still working to determine what led to the shooting

GAITHERSBURG, Md. — Two people have been hospitalized after a shooting at a Gaithersburg apartment complex. The shooting happened in the 400 block of N. Summit Avenue near the Spring Ridge Apartments around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Gaithersburg officers and Montgomery County Police officers responded to the scene for a reported shooting. Once on scene, the officers found two adult victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers provided first aid until medical personnel arrived. 

Both people who were shot were taken to an area hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening. 

Detectives in Gaithersburg are still investigating what led to the shooting. So far, no arrests have been made. No suspect information has been made public by police.
