FREDERICK, Md. — A father from Frederick, Md. has been arrested for his involvement with a crash that killed his 4-year-old son in December, according to Maryland State Police.

Authorities said that Gregory Lee Ehabe was under the influence when he crashed his Hyundai Santa Fe into a concrete culvert on Interstate 70 back on Dec. 2., around 10:30 p.m.

First responders transported his son, 4-year-old Everett Ehabe, to a local hospital, then transferring him to the Children's National Hospital in D.C. It was at Children's National that Everett died on Dec. 4.

A grand jury for Washington County indicted Ehabe on eight charges, including child neglect, vehicle manslaughter and homicide by a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

A warrant was issued for Ehabe's arrest earlier this week on January 9. The 27-year-old is currently being held at the Washington County Jail.
