Fairfax Police investigate homicide

Luis Barahona Reyes, 50, of Fairfax, was found dead on June 10.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — A homicide investigation is underway in Fairfax County after a 50-year-old man was found dead.

On June 10, at 9:21 a.m., the City of Fairfax Police Department responded to 9715 Fairfax Boulevard for the report of a dead body.

At the scene, officers located a man who they determined to be dead. His body was transported to the Medical Examiner's Office for further examination.

That man has since been identified as Luis Barahona Reyes, 50, of Fairfax.

Police are now investigating his death as a homicide.

Investigators have not said how Reyes was killed nor identified any suspects in this case. They are currently working to develop a motive.

The Criminal Investigations Division is actively investigating this case and is asking anyone with information or video evidence to contact Detective Pittman at 703-385-7907 or Joe.Pittman@fairfaxva.gov.
