Police investigating deadly shooting in Prince George's County

Officers were flagged down after someone found a person shot outside.

RIVERDALE, Md. — Police are searching for answers after someone was found shot dead in Prince George's County early Thursday morning. According to the Prince George's County Police Department, officers were flagged down in the 4800 block of Veterans Parkway in Riverdale after someone found a person shot.

Officers found a person, only identified as a man, shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead. Detectives are still working to determine exactly what led up to the shooting. Investigators do not believe the shooting was random. Additional details have not yet been made public.
