Photo released of Chinatown robbery suspects; Police asking for public's help identifying

Anyone who can identify the robbers should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099.

WASHINGTON — DC Police are asking for the public help identifying three people who robbed someone in Chinatown late Wednesday night.

Around 11:30 p.m., upon leaving the Gallery Place Metro Station, the victim was approached by two males and a female who asked him if he has any drugs. He waved them off and continued walking, but the three followed him. They then attached him at the intersection of 7th Street and Massachusetts Avenue, Northwest -- taking his backpack, which had an iPhone and laptop inside, and running away.

The victim was taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries and is expected to survive.

The robbers were caught on a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the photo below:

Anyone who can identify them, or who has knowledge of what happened should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia.
