Police investigate stabbing in Southeast, suspect on the loose

A stabbing investigation in the 1400 block of L Street, SE is underway.

WASHINGTON — D.C. Police are searching for a man suspected of stabbing someone. 

Police issued an alert for residents to be on the lookout for a tall man with a large build, gray hair and beard. The suspect was last seen wearing blue pants and appears to be injured. 

Officials say there was a blood trail from the stabbing that took place in the 1400 block of L Street, Southeast leading to the B2 bus stop on Pennsylvania Avenue, Southeast. 

At this time, information on who the victim is or their current status is unknown.
