DC Police search for car connected to shooting that wounded teenager in Southeast

On Monday evening, police released photos from a surveillance camera of a car investigators say is connected to the shooting.

WASHINGTON — Police are asking for the public's help find a car they say is connected to a shooting that left a teenager wounded early Sunday morning.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened in the 2400 block of Elvans Road, Southeast shortly before 2:15 a.m. 

When officers arrived, they found a teenage boy suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital for help and his condition has not been released.

On Monday evening, police released photos from a surveillance camera of a car investigators say is connected to the shooting. There is no word on what happened in the moments leading up to the shooting or any possible motive.
