WASHINGTON — One homicide in Northeast and another in Northwest left two victims in their 30s dead over the weekend in D.C.
In the Northwest homicide, police arrived at the Unit Block of Florida Avenue around 4:44 p.m. Friday to find a woman suffering from stab wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services transported her to a local hospital for treatment, but despite all life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced dead.
She has been identified by police as 35-year-old Chanae McLaughlin of no fixed address.
Around 6:44 p.m. Saturday in the 1500 Block of F Street, Northeast, police arrived on the scene to find a man with a gunshot wound inside of a car, police said. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services then responded to the scene and found that the victim displayed no signs consistent with life.
That victim has since been identified as 37-year-old Kenneth Harris of Northwest, D.C., police confirmed.
Police have not released any information on possible suspects.
DC Police currently offer a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for a homicide committed in D.C.
