WASHINGTON D.C., DC — A D.C. man was held without bond Friday after being charged with first degree murder while armed for his alleged involvement in a quadruple shooting that left two dead and two injured during the summer.
Prosecutors say that Andre Greene, 25, aided the shooters that opened fire at the intersection of Alabama Avenue and 22nd Street in Southeast D.C. There is no evidence that Greene fired a weapon according to court documents obtained Friday.
Lamont Street and Jermaine Procter were killed, a third man was injured according to police. Two-year-old Emily was shot in the stomach and leg.
The extensive court documents contain screenshots of surveillance video that show what led up and followed the shooting on July 18.
Screenshots show the moment that two shooters opened fire after stepping out of a white car. Another photograph shows to daycare educators and six children who were caught in the crossfire while they were on a walk.
Emily was the only one of the toddlers injured during the shooting. Her grandmother, Priscilla Johns told WUSA9 that her granddaughter is still recovering from the trauma. "She has tremors or just like shakes or just stares at times but overall she's still here and I'm grateful," she said Wednesday following the announcement of Greene's arrest.
Investigators say colleagues to police that Greene had been bragging about the shooting while at work.
Following the shooting, police release photos of two cars involved in the shooting, including a blue Dodge Charger. Investigators the car belongs to Greene who was captured on surveillance video driving the distinct car. Hours after police released the video, the car was found engulfed in flames underneath a bridge in College Park, Md.
"I know there will be more arrest in this case and I'm asking them to turn yourself in. I forgive you -- believe it or not I been forgave you," Johns added.
Court documents indicate that there were at least four suspects involved in the deadly shooting. One of the shooters is identified as a local rapper who was connected through surveillance video and social media posts. According to investigators, the rapper posted photos with what they believe to be the guns used in the July shooting, and also a rap claiming to shoot two men in the face.
Prosecutors say Greene is associated with two DC street gangs. He is due back in court on Dec. 5.
