WANTED | Suspect caught on camera after burglary in SE DC

Police have released photos and video of the suspect in hopes of having the public's help identifying him.

WASHINGTON — Police are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect connected to a recent burglary in Southeast, D.C. 

The burglary occurred on Oct. 19 around 2:45 a.m. in the 1500 block of Alabama Avenue.

According to investigators, the suspect entered a local business, stole property, and ran away. The suspect’s image was captured on surveillance footage, which has been released in hopes that someone in the community can help identify them. Video footage of the suspect can be viewed here on YouTube.

DC Police asks anyone who may recognize the suspect or has any information regarding the burglary to come forward. However, they urge the public not to approach or take action against the suspect. Instead, individuals with information are advised to contact police by calling (202) 727-9099 or by sending a tip via the TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.

To incentivize leads, the MPD is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that results in an arrest and indictment in this case.
