BAILEY'S CROSSROADS, Va. — A shooting in Bailey's Crossroads has left a man injured early Friday morning.
Officers with the Fairfax County Police Department arrived at Charles Street, off of Leesburg Pike, after receiving a call about a shooting at 5:02 a.m. Upon arrival, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.
He was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries considered to be life-threatening. Less than 40 minutes after the initial announcement of the shooting, police say the injuries have now been downgraded to a non-life-threatening status.
No information has been released about the identity of the man, this includes his age, name, and where he is from.
The investigation into the shooting is active and ongoing.
