Arlington Public Schools employee charged with showing children pornography

Matthew Pineda, 18, of Fairfax County, is facing charges of possession of child pornography and assault and battery.

ARLINGTON, Va. — An Arlington County Public Schools employee was arrested after police claim he showed pornography to three elementary school students, Arlington County Police said Friday.

On April 19, police received information that an Arlington Public Schools Extended Day employee assigned to Abingdon Elementary School showed pornography to three children.

After an investigation, police arrested Matthew Pineda, 18, of Fairfax County. He's facing charges of possession of child pornography and assault and battery. 

He's being held without bond in the Arlington County Detention Facility.
