Antisemitic graffiti spraypainted on Bethesda Elementary School walls, crosswalks

When we arrived we were met by community members who had gathered together to clean up the spray paint.

BETHESDA, Md. — Officers with the Montgomery County Police Department are investigating an elementary that was vandalized on Sunday.

Police were dispatched to Bethesda Elementary School along Arlington Road just before 7:15 a.m. for reports of antisemitic language spray painted along the walls of the schools.

The suspects spray painted various phrases along the crosswalk, sidewalk in front of the school, and on the school's sign.

"Israel rapes men, women, and children" could be seen spray painted across the school's sign in big red letters.

WUSA9 received a tip about the vandalism and sent over a crew to gather more information. When we arrived we were met by community members who gathered together to clean up the spray paint.

Parents came out with their kids with various colored spray paint to cover up the words along the perimeter of the school.
