Police searching for 2 wanted for armed robbery in Northwest DC

A nearby surveillance camera captured the people involved in the crime as well as their vehicle.

WASHINGTON — Police are searching for two people involved in an armed robbery Wednesday morning in Northwest D.C., They are asking for the public's help solving the crime with the release of surveillance footage images. 

The robbery happened just before 10:45 a.m. on 14th Street Northwest, nearby T Street Northwest, when two people approached a person at an ATM with a gun, demanding money. The victim refused and the suspects took off in a blue Hyundai with Maryland tags.

A nearby surveillance camera captured the people involved in the crime as well as their vehicle. The Maryland plates read 4EA0891, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. Here's the photos captured connected to the crime:

Anyone who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411.  The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
