Police: Double shooting in Columbia Heights

DC Police said one of the two men was shot in the head and body and the other was shot in the arm.

WASHINGTON — Two men were shot on Wednesday in Columbia Heights just after 2 p.m, according to DC Police. 

One of the men is in critical condition, after being in the head. The other victim, although wounded, is expected to survive, according to police. 

DC Police added that two male shooters were seen fleeing the scene at 2700 14th Street, Northwest.

Anyone who may have any information about the shooting is urged to call the department at 202-727-9099 or text the tip line anonymously at 50411.

Also in Northwest, on Sunday, DC Police made an arrest in a shooting involving two teenagers. A 16-year-old boy was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (gun) for allegedly shooting a juvenile girl, police said. 

Around 9:15 p.m. Thursday, DC Police officers responded to 1300 block of 5th Street, Northwest for the reports of gunshots. Once on scene, officers said they found a juvenile girl suffering from a gunshot wound.
