DUMFRIES, Va. — Police are investigating after two people were found dead inside a home in Dumfries Wednesday night.
The two people have only been identified as a 30-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man.
According to the Prince William County Police Department, officers were called to the home in the 1900 block of Fort Monroe Court shortly before 10 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers found the two people inside the home. Both had been shot and died inside the house.
Investigators say the two people did know each other and the deadly shooting appears to be isolated to the home with no threat to the community.
There is no word on how the victims knew each other or what happened leading up to the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators.
