WASHINGTON — Police are investigating after two men were shot in Northwest D.C. Monday night, killing one.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened in the 7300 block of Blair Road, Northwest just before 9:15 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot.
The man, who was later identified as 21-year-old Rashaud Johnson, of Northwest, was pronounced dead at the location.
A short time later, a second person was found on Fern Street Northwest, nearby Georgia Avenue Northwest, also suffering from injuries due to the shooting. He was taken to a local hospital to be treated and is expected to survive.
Police are on the lookout for a man wearing black glasses, a gray jacket and black jeans.
