ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Police are investigating a double shooting in Alexandria Thursday night.
According to the Alexandria Police Department, officers were called to the 1300 block of Wythe Street for reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers found two people, only identified as men, who had been shot. Both men were taken to area hospitals for help. One of the victims is listed in critical condition.
Police are still trying to determine a motive and what happened in the moments leading up to the shooting.
While no suspect information has been released, police say there is no ongoing threat related to the shooting within the community.
So far this year, Alexandria Police say there have been zero homicides in the city.
