ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Police are investigating a double shooting in Alexandria Thursday night.

According to the Alexandria Police Department, officers were called to the 1300 block of Wythe Street for reports of a shooting around 8:15 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found two people, only identified as men, who had been shot. Both men were taken to area hospitals for help. One of the victims is listed in critical condition.

One of the two victims has since died from his injuries. He has been identified as 25-year-old Kwakia Frazier. The second victim, a 46-year-old man, remains in stable condition at an area hospital.

While investigating, police say they located a 15-year-old boy who had been grazed by a bullet. He was treated by first responders at the scene of the crime.

Police are still trying to determine a motive and what happened in the moments leading up to the shooting.

While no suspect information has been released, police say there is no ongoing threat related to the shooting within the community.

This marks the first homicide investigation in the city of Alexandria this year, according to police.
