The 16-year-old is charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, gun offenses and additional charges, police say. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections.

On the day of the shooting, police took a 14-year-old boy into custody. After additional investigation, he was released once it was determined he was not involved in the shooting.
