WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Charges against a woman accused of vandalizing the Washington National Cathedral, and suspected of vandalizing the Lincoln Memorial, with green paint have been dropped.
According to a court spokesperson, in November a judge at D.C. Superior court found that there is "no substantial probability" that 60-year-old Jia Tian will ever be found competent enough to stand trial. That means there is no way to criminally prosecute Tian.
Tian was arrested near one of the vandalism scenes in July 2013. She has been a patient at St. Elizabeth's Hospital since then.
