CHEVERLY, Md. — Two teenagers were arrested for allegedly assaulting and spitting on two other teenagers in Cheverly, police said.
Officers from the Cheverly Police Department were called to Greenleaf Road and Crest Avenue around 5 p.m. Monday for the report of an attempted robbery and assault.
The two suspects were accused of hitting the victims and spitting on them before running from the scene.
With help from neighbors and witnesses, police were able to find the suspects, who changed out of the clothes they were wearing during the assault.
Due to Maryland state laws, police cannot share more information about the teenagers involved.
The two suspects were later released back to their guardians, according to a police report.
