E-Z Pass issues warning about phishing scam

Now a warning for commuters who use E-Z Pass. Con artists are at work. They're sending e-mail to people with E-Z Pass accounts, telling them they have a payment due.
E-Z Pass

E-Z Pass is warning customers about fraudulent emails as part of a phishing scam.

According to E-Z Pass, the scammers are sending emails to people with E-Z Pass accounts, telling them they have a payment due.

The email then directs the customers to a legitimate looking website that asks for credit card information.

E-Z Pass says those emails are fake. Anyone who receives an unsolicited email demanding payment can call the toll-free E-Z Pass customer service center at 1-877-762-7824.
