Coffee and chocolates shop in Fairfax giving jobs to people with intellectual disabilities

The shop is called Cameron's Coffee and Chocolates. It's run by a nonprofit called Everyone Can Work.

FAIRFAX, Va. — A chocolate shop in Fairfax is the latest recipient of the Spirit of Virginia award presented by Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin and First Lady Suzanne Youngkin.

The shop is called Cameron's Coffee and Chocolates.

It's run by a nonprofit called Everyone Can Work.

Its mission is to provide meaningful jobs to people living with an intellectual disability.

"As each individual works here, they grow in different ways based on where they are as a person," co-founder Ellen Graham said. "And we need so many more jobs like this – so many jobs where we can expand our knowledge base so that people who are a part of our community can be productive members of society."

The Spirit of Virginia Award recognizes Virginians who make exceptional contributions in private industry, education, culture, the arts and philanthropy.

Congratulations to today's recipients – everyone at Cameron's Coffee and Chocolates.
