VIRGINIA, USA — Tysons Corner Center has found another way for people to enjoy their shopping experience.
Shopping with a Twist allows shoppers to sip, spend, and stroll through the mall. Visitors over 21 years old can now purchase their favorite alcoholic drinks from participating restaurants.
Tysons will be holding a launch event on Wednesday, November 8 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. This event is completely free to the public. The first 100 guests will receive gift bags and $25 gift cards from one of the participating restaurants.
The launch event will also include custom cocktails and drink specials at the participating restaurants. So even if you’re not one of the first 100 shoppers, you can still enjoy a discounted drink during Happy Hour.
While Tysons is encouraging patrons to buy a drink and take a scenic stroll through the mall, shoppers are prohibited from bringing their own alcohol into the mall. All drinks have to be in a disposable, restaurant-branded cup.
Shoppers can purchase drinks from the following restaurants:
Feeling fabrics, picking patterns, and trying on things is always a good time, but it’s important to note, that not every store allows alcohol inside. Those stores will have signage that reads “no alcohol past this point” on the front.
Some retailers that do not allow drinks inside include:
- Cotton On
- Forever21
- H&M
- Uniqlo
- Zara

If you can’t make it out on November 8 for the launch event, don’t worry. Tysons Corner Center's bar crawl is a permanent experience that will continue through normal mall hours Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
