Dream job? Make $1k by making your bed

The winner will be announced on Dec. 22, 2023, and they will receive a $1,000 payment upon completion of the task.

WASHINGTON — Making up your bed -- for some a regular task and for others a boring chore, but if you can do it for a month there could be money in it for you.

Jewelry company Shane Co. is offering one lucky person a chance to win $1,000 by doing the task. The company says they believe that starting your day with intention matters, and that success starts with making your bed.

Studies show that the simple act of bed-making can reduce stress, streamline your morning, and possibly even improve one's love life.

They are looking for someone, that for 30 days, will make their bed for every single day. Though not a deal breaker, but they are keen on contestants who don't regularly make their beds and stand to gain more than just a tidy room.

"We want to dive deep into this experience with you," Shane Co. stated. "Document your journey by recording your insights on how this daily ritual impacts your overall feelings, productivity, and organization."

This could be a simple journal or even a vlog.

Other requirements besides making the bed every day for 30 days -- the ability to provide insightful thoughts on how the daily exercise impacts your overall feelings, as well as you must be 18 years old or older and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

To enter the contest you must complete a form, which asks questions about why you should be chosen as the winner. The form must be completed to have an official entry. The deadline for the contest is on Dec. 8, 2023.

The winner will be announced on Dec. 22, 2023, and they will receive a $1,000 payment upon completion of the task.
