WASHINGTON — Four military families who are expecting new additions now have all the supplies they need to welcome their bundles of joy -- thanks to the help of a Washington sports team.
On Thursday night, the Capitals hosted a baby shower at a restaurant in Dupont Circle. Four military moms-to-be were celebrated.
Members of the Capitals coaching staff and several players' spouses took part in the event.
The Capitals partnered with an organization called Operation Homefront. The non-profit serves America's military families across the country.
In addition to those in attendance to the event, WUSA9 also wants to offer a big congratulations to all of the future moms and their families.
