Triplets have special reunion with NICU nurses who helped them 18 years ago | Get Uplifted

Eighteen years ago, David, Gabriella and Isabella were born premature at 32 weeks and two days.

SHARON, Mass — A set of triplets near Boston are preparing to graduate from high school, but first their mom wanted to take them back to where their lives started -- and that is getting us uplifted.

Eighteen years ago, David, Gabriella and Isabella were born pre-mature at 32 weeks and two days. They spent nearly two months in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) but thanks to the constant care of doctors and nurses they were able to leave nearly two months later.

And in a special reunion, before they graduate, they went back to where it all began. They got to meet the nurses and doctors that cared for them around the clock.

"Yeah, there were a few nurses that remembered us," David said.

"They actually remembered where we were in the hospital," one of the triplets said. "They remembered our parents holding us and coming there every day to see us. We also got to see diapers of the size of a NICU babies that they wear. We put on the shirts, we took a photo with the nurses that helped us."

All three triplets plan to go into the medical field like their mother who is a nurse. They're all going to different schools, but they all hope to give back one day in the same way those nurses and doctors did 18 years ago.
