Commanders superfan travels the country to see games in all 32 NFL stadiums

Commanders superfan "Road Warrior" hit the milestone after seven years of going to games

WASHINGTON — Commanders fans are basking in the glory of their Monday night football win this week. But during that stunning prime time game, one Commander superfan checked off an incredible goal.

The superfan, known as “Road Warrior,” completed his journey of attending a Commander game at all 32 NFL stadiums.

Road Warrior joined WUSA9’s Simone De Alba Wednesday to talk about his journey traveling the country to watch the Commanders play.

“The journey started with me and my grandfather at the RFK stadium when I was a kid,” Road Warrior said. “And then as I got older, I went to a game and I was like, it brought me back to life.”

When he started out, his bucket list was to go to 16 games. But over the past seven years, he’s doubled that.

Road Warrior credits his love for the Commanders and his continued dedication to his grandfather taking him to that first game when he was younger.

“It hurt when he passed away,” Road Warrior said. “And I was like, I'm gonna keep this spirit going on for my grandfather, Grandfather Rudy. And that's what I do it for.”

And on the journey, Road Warrior has become somewhat of a Commanders celebrity in his own right. He has nearly 20,000 followers on Instagram, where he posts videos of him at games and meeting players and other fans.

“It's an experience, it's not just the game,” Road Warrior said. “... I love the people and I love the energy that people show me.”
