BALTIMORE — Summer is a time for kids to be kids, enjoying the outside, pools, and playgrounds, but for children battling homelessness these opportunities could be out of reach. Which is why one organization is getting us uplifted due to them helping to bridge that gap.
Camp Saint Vincent is a summer camp that provide several services for kids in Baltimore City and County. The camp provides students with academic support in reading and math, sports programs, arts enrichment, swims in the pool, and field trips around the area.
The free summer camp is the only one in the Baltimore region serving children experiencing homelessness. According to their website, they serve up to 160 children in the area.
Volunteers say this is all to help better their community and support families that need the resource. The camp says they are accepting donations for several different types of items, so that the fun can continue all summer long.
