Prince George's Co. Police take kids snow tubing | Get Uplifted

More events are already in the works, including a spring break golf trip.

MCHENRY, Md. — The Prince George's County Police Department is going above and beyond when it comes to outreach this week, and it won't stop there.

On Presidents Day, officers with the police department took more than 100 kids out for a day of snow tubing at Wisp Resort in Western Maryland. The department's Community First Division was behind the special outing.

"They had an opportunity to see police officers in a nontraditional setting and they enjoyed the afternoon and we are looking forward to many more opportunities to connect with our young people," Daria Bailey, COC Division Chief with Prince George's County said.

The police department stated that the "event was an opportunity to establish positive relationships between law enforcement and the youth within our community."

More events are already in the works, including a spring break golf trip.
