Preschoolers in Northern Virginia donate warm clothing to those in need | Get Uplifted

It's all part of the school's balanced learning curriculum which teaches students to selflessly give to others.

HAYMARKET, Va. — The back-to-back snowstorms and frigid temperatures we have experienced in the DMV have been a grim reminder of how hard it can be for some families to make sure their children are properly clothed and prepared for the winter months.

But thanks to some little ones in Haymarket, Virginia that struggle is a little less heavy to bear. Preschoolers at Primrose School of Haymarket are doing their part to help out other kids in their community.

They recently collected cold weather clothing. It's all part of the school's balanced learning curriculum, which teaches students to selflessly give to others.

In all, the children were able to donate 50 winter coats and other warm clothing items to a Prince William County organization called Boxes of Basics which provides children in need with seasonal boxes of clothes in their size. This action helps set up those kids for what could be a lifetime of philanthropy.
