High school seniors surprised with free laptops in Southeast DC | Get Uplifted

The principal called the surprise a 'parting gift.'

WASHINGTON — The last day of school for teachers in D.C. is Tuesday, but before that, on Monday, students wrapped up for the summer -- and with that came a big surprise for some.

Seniors at Ballou High School got a nice surprise at their graduation rehearsal in the school gymnasium. Their principal told them that outside in the hallway was what you might call a 'parting gift' for graduation.

Making all this possible are AT&T, Compudopt and Junior Achievement of Greater Washington.

Along with the laptops, students receive two free years of technical support. And if the laptop breaks down, they'll get a replacement.

Congratulations to all of the seniors at Ballou, and their accomplishments.
