Due to inclement weather, DC Winter Restaurant Week has been extended for another week

For anyone who wasn’t able to indulge this week, you’re in luck. DC has announced they will be extending Restaurant Week for another week due to inclement weather.

WASHINGTON — The DMV has been covered in snow flurries multiple times this week. Road conditions have been slippery, winds have been gusty, and temperatures have been frigid. In other words, no one is leaving the house unless it is absolutely necessary.

As a result, the restaurant business has been slow this week. For those who don’t know, this week was DC’s Restaurant Week. A time when restaurants curate special menus at discounted prices.

For anyone who wasn’t able to indulge this week, you’re in luck. DC has announced they will be extending Restaurant Week for another week due to the inclement weather we have been experiencing this week.

“The decision to extend Winter Restaurant Week is reflective of our commitment to the well-being and enjoyment of our restaurant community and its consumers. This extension is an opportunity for more people to safely enjoy what our local restaurants have to offer, showcasing the resilience and adaptability of our industry.” RAMW President & CEO Shawn Townsend said in a release.

Beginning Monday, January 22 through Sunday, January 28 over 140 specially priced menus will be available to the public throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia at participating restaurants.

Lunch menus will be priced at $25 or $35 per person. Multi-course dinner menus will range from $45, $55, or $65 per person depending on the restaurant.
