These 2 DMV-area Red Lobsters may close their doors

If you love cheddar biscuits and live in Northern Virginia, you won't like this news.

WASHINGTON — The water is starting to boil for some DMV-area Red Lobster locations that are among 130 additional restaurants that may close after the company filed for bankruptcy last month.

In court filings, Red Lobster listed restaurant locations where the company wishes to reject the building leases because they "are likely to continue to drive losses" if everything remains the same. The new closures were first reported by Restaurant Business Online

In Maryland, only one location is on the chopping block and while it may not be in the DMV-area, we know many may visit it while on vacation:

  • 2314 N Salisbury Blvd, Salisbury

Meanwhile, in Virginia eight locations made the additional closures list, with two of being in the DMV-area:

  • 555 S. Van Dorn Street, Alexandria
  • 10325 Fairfax Blvd., Fairfax

Florida seems to be the state that will take the biggest hit, with more than 25  additional locations listed as possible closures. Click here for a full list.
