WASHINGTON — Friday marks the official start of spring, and we've only got one thing on our minds--the start of cherry blossom season.
The 2024 National Cherry Blossom Festival will be held March 20 through April 14. Events will be held throughout D.C. and in neighboring communities in Maryland and Virginia during the month-long celebration, which ends in a parade.
Tickets are now on sale for the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade, with East End seating starting at $40 per person and West End seating ranging from $25 to $30.
The parade will be held Saturday, April 13 along Constitution Avenue from 10 a.m. until noon.
"The Sugar Hill Gang," with Wonder Mike, Master Gee and HenDogg featuring DJ T Dynasty - Fathers of Hip Hop, and American Idol finalist Colin Stough are expected to perform.
Since parking is limited in D.C., especially during the National Cherry Blossom Festival, it's recommended that visitors use the District's alternative transportation modes like Capital Bikeshare, DC Streetcar, Scooters, DC Circulator, Metrobus, and Metrorail.
The one-mile length of the Parade route is accessible from multiple Metro stations.
