What if teachers were paid like America's top sportsmen?
Star teacher Ruby Ruhf's new contract on Key & Peele's 'TeachingCenter' skit.

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- What if teachers were paid like America's top sportsmen? What if they had their own 24 hour coverage network and flagship television show?

Comedy Central's Key & Peele, in a preview for Wednesday night's show, re-imagined ESPN's SportsCenter as 'TeachingCenter', where they cover "the day's top stories from the exciting world of teaching."

TeachingCenter's top story in the segment, star English teacher Ruby Ruhf announces she's leaving her school in Ohio to take a job in New York as the country's highest paid teacher. Her contract? It's worth $80 million guaranteed over 6 years, plus an additional $40 million in incentives based on test scores.

Imagine for a second that the scripts were flipped, and teachers actually commanded the monster salaries that athletes receive.

Seriously, imagine that. At the very least, we think they deserve it.
