Do you have a budding young entrepreneur in your home? Want to teach your children the value of earning and saving money?
Lemonade Day is a program that teaches young kids valuable leadership and business skills that will serve them for life. The kids are paired with mentors to help them launch a lemonade business and host their own lemonade stand .
In the Washington, D.C. area, kids are paired with students at the George Washington University School of Business. Lemonade Day provides resources that youth entrepreneurs and their adult mentors use to develop their business plan: planning, product development, marketing, sales, customer service, financial management and charitable giving. The program encourages the budding entrepreneurs to spend some, save some and share of their profits with a cause that matters to them.
GWU has been involved with the program since the beginning and this year will once again lend their help for the 6th Lemonade Day in the D.C. area.
Lemonade Day will be hosted in DC on Saturday, April 28, 2018.
