WASHINGTON — The Fourth of July falls on a Thursday this year which means you (might) have an extended weekend. We have a few events in case you were looking for something to do. If not, enjoy your relaxing 4 day weekend!
Thursday, July 4th
4th of July Fireworks
You probably already know that the main spot to view fireworks in the district is down at the Washington Monument. If you looking for another spot with a fireworks display, no worries. We have a list of various places in the DMV area to go watch the show.
- Historic Annapolis from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
- Bready Park in Herndon at 6:30 p.m.
- U.S. Interior Department will host their display at West Potomac Park at 9 p.m.

Friday, July 5th
Drive-In movies are quite the rarity in a town where most people commute by public transportation. However, if you are looking for one, Union Market is the place to be Friday night. Part of their drive-in movie series, they will be showing A League of Their Own. Honestly, there is no better movie to watch this Fourth of July weekend.

Saturday, July 6
Who said the Fourth of July festivities have to end on the 4th? The Hard Rock Cafe sure didn't. They will be hosting a pub crawl from 1 p.m.-8 p.m. Check in by 5 p.m. to enjoy a variety of cocktails, beers and more alcohol options. Tickets start at $13. Have fun and remember to drink responsibly.

Sunday, July 7
Bring the whole family to the DC Art Book Fair. Learn about literature from various independent authors. Enjoy not only the fair but also free admission to the entire museum.
