Allison Boyle wears a lot of hats. She's a teacher, wife, mother and swim coach. Like many busy women she doesn't always take time for herself. That recently changed and now she's working out and about ready to participate in a 5k.

Allison decided it was time to do something for herself and rekindle her enjoyment for athletics—Allison joined Team heart love and began training to run a 5k. Allison says, “I needed to make time for myself. Change my lifestyle and be good role model for my kids.”

Growing up she loved sports—a passion for swimming even helped guide her career shes says in a sit-down interview in her classroom, “I got into it coaching when I was a teenager and doing swim lessons, which rolled into becoming teacher.”

Today Allison isn’t the only one inspired to pound the pavement. Her daughter also enjoys running and they are active together with Girls on the Run. Allison says the Team #HeartLove group has been so encouraging on this journey.

Allison is part of Team #HeartLove which consist of 6 people trained by coaches Julie Sapper and Lisa Reichman. Each team member is training to run their very first 5K (3.1 mile) race at Fletcher’s Cove parkrun.
