WASHINGTON — If you are still looking for something to do for the Fourth weekend or the rest of this summer, head on over to the beach! Ocean City, Maryland will be offering a range of activities to enjoy this extended Fourth of July weekend and throughout the rest of the summer.
For the weekend of the fourth, attendees can enjoy free music and fireworks that will be featured downtown on North Division Street by the boardwalk. However, if you do not want to drive to the boardwalk, fireworks will be displayed uptown at Northside Park. At both locations, music will begin at 8 p.m. and the fireworks show will start at approximately 9:30 p.m. However, do not bring your own fireworks as they are permitted. There is already more than enough to see!
If you already have plans for the upcoming Fourth of July weekend, Ocean City will be hosting a range of other events this summer. The Ocean City Tuna Tournament will be from July 12-14 while the White Marlin Open, the world’s largest Billfish tournament will be August 5-9. Fireworks will not only be available on the Fourth. On Sundays, fireworks can be seen at the Northside Park and at Talbot Street beach on Mondays. However, the free beach, famous boardwalk and food options are already enough of an event for the whole family.
Transportation has also become much easier for those who might not like driving at the beach. The “Beach Bus” is the easiest way to navigate at the beach. The TransLoc Rider App and oct.transloc.com website allow people to track the bus in real time.
