It's summer in Annapolis, and the streets are alive with bustle and activity! Here are four of the must-try activities for you and your family to check out there this season.

1. Tour the local art scene

This city is brimming with art - from the galleries to the theaters to the streets! Enjoy live music performances, exhibit tours and craft displays all in one place. And be sure to mark your calendars for Annapolis Arts Week June 3-11, which will feature block parties, vendors, art classes and workshops, street music, festivals and more!

2. Experience the Bay

Cruise, sail, fish or dine on the Chesapeake Bay. You can kayak, paddle board or canoe or take an overnight trip on a rented yacht. For those with an interest in water sports, there's no shortage of offerings in this bayside city. There are also a number of outdoor dining options perfect for special occasions or casual date nights.

3. Adventure outdoors

Annapolis is home to a number of parks and trails as well as its own nature center and woodland garden. Hike, bike, picnic in the great outdoors or stroll through the pedestrian-friendly streets.

4. Spend the night

Stay overnight at one of the area's hotels, B&Bs or water lodging options. Be sure to enjoy fresh crabs for dinner (this year is supposed to be a great year for crabs.) Afterwards head out for a night on the town, Annapolis is home to elegant bars, dive pubs and live music. It's a great location for a group, a date night or a family excursion.
