Kid's stuck inside? No worries these movies will delight your kids on a rainy day or any day!
1. Sing - In a city of humanoid animals, a hustling theater impresario's attempt to save his theater with a singing competition becomes grander than he anticipates even as its finalists' find that their lives will never be the same.
2. Moana - In Ancient Polynesia, when a terrible curse incurred by the Demigod Maui reaches an impetuous Chieftain's daughter's island, she answers the Ocean's call to seek out the Demigod to set things right.
3. A Dog’s Purpose – A comedy starring a dog that teaches humans lessons in humanity, this is a PG live action film coming to theaters. Stars Josh Gad and Dennis Quaid.
4. Monster Trucks – Also coming to a theater near you, Monster Trucks is a half live-half computer animated fantasy about a teenager looking to escape the trappings of high school life finds a friend in a strange creature that is dislodged from the earth after an explosion at an oil-drilling site. Also PG, stars Lucas Till, Jane Levy, Barry Pepper and Amy Ryan
5. A Series of Unfortunate Events: Season 1 – If you have a Netflix account you can stream this new original series based off the popular Children’s books. The series follows three orphans sent to live with a distant cruel relative, played by Neil Patrick Harris, that schemes to steal their inheritance.
6. The Powerpuff Girls – If Hulu is your thing, they will begin exclusively streaming the cartoon series in January. They will include both the classic library of episodes as well as the re-imagined version that ran this year on Cartoon Network and was nominated for an Emmy.
