WASHINGTON — Tony Hawk was spotted at the Shaw Skate Park in D.C. over the weekend!
The legendary pro skateboarder was reportedly in town to be the keynote speaker at the Association for Financial Professionals conference, which is based out of Bethesda.
Hawk is known to make stops at local skate parks when he travels and the folks at Shaw were the lucky ones this time.
Shaw Skate Park was temporarily closed in January this year for renovations and just reopened to skaters last month. Shots and videos of Tony Hawk dropping in to the park were all over social media over the weekend.
Early on Monday, Hawk himself posted a video tossing one of his boards into the skate park through a locked gate for a lucky skater to find.
Congratulations to Instagram user @_lxcedxut_ for snagging it! Do a kickflip!
Hawk also grabbed dinner at one of D.C.'s newest Michelin star restaurants, The Dabney, while he was in town.
