WASHINGTON — A new face is getting you ready for your day on Get Up DC. Jonathan Myers joins Wisdom, Annie, Allison and Lindsey as the newest member of WUSA9's Weather Team!
Jonathan comes to WUSA9 by way of Baltimore. He's forecasted record snowfalls, hurricanes and tornadoes for the last decade. He has been nominated for an Emmy and awarded the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Associations AP Award for Best Weathercast four times.

Jonathan is the father of two active boys.
He started forecasting weather at the age of 10 when he figured out snow meant no school.
He has been an adjunct professor of meteorology since 2014. He has taught at Towson University and currently teaches at a community college.
Both Jonathan's parents were musicians. His mom played cello at Carnegie Hall when she was 13. Dad played clarinet in Haifa Symphony.
He sang tenor through middle school and high school, then with the Penn State Glee Club
He's an avid skier, and going skiing with his kids is their favorite winter activity.
He has a cat named Luna and a dog named Howie who are best friends.
He has been diamond mining in Arkansas twice, but has yet to strike it rich.
He has traveled to almost all 50 states
