Thursday is National Anthem Day, an important time to remember our country's history and to acknowledge our freedom.

But some National Anthem performances have been more memorable than others, for good and bad reasons.

Here are five of the worst National Anthem performances.

5. Christina Aguilera

X-Tina can hit the high notes, but she couldn't hit the right words during Super Bowl XLV.

4. Steven Tyler

The Aerosmith frontman sang the Anthem at the Indy 500 and it was not as likable as his rendition of "Dream On." Tyler also botched the words.

3. Kat DeLuna

Dominican signer Kat DeLuna's Anthem attempt at a 2008 Dallas Cowboys game may have been the start to the end of her career. Not only did she forget some of the lyrics, her vocals were way off.

2. Michael Bolton

Michael Bolton sang the Anthem at a Boston Red Sox game -- and forgot the lyrics. Lucky for Bolton, he had the lyrics scribbled on his hand. The moment was caught on camera and as you can imagine, the world has not forgotten.

1. Roseanne Barr

In 1990, Roseanne Barr gave her rendition of the Anthem at a San Diego Padres game. Barr clearly had no desire to deliver the Anthem in a graceful, respectful manner. Instead, she shouted the lyrics... and then she spit on the pitcher's mound when she finished.
